An automatic stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust reference 1601 model. This example has a gorgeous and rare dark silvery grey dial with white gold stick markers filled in the center with white paint. The writing and minute track are all printed in white, which pops cleanly off the dial. All original lume plots are in tact as well as in the hands, and are not re-finished and have toned to a beautiful warm ivory colour. The watch is powered by the Rolex 1570 movement, that was found in the GMT and Submariner model's during this period. The watch is in excellent condition with wear commensurate with age. These earlier models can be identified as they have the earlier, characteristic, 'pie pan' style dial. The watch was made circa 1977 with serial number 508XXXX. The watch is in original condition, lightly polished, and comes with a Foundwell one year warranty against mechanical failure.
