Its monococque - or one-piece - Omega case, which when new achieved high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back measures 34mm in diameter - the same size as a Rolex Date model.
Powering the watch is Omega's very fine caliber 565 movement used in Seamasters from the era, and one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. Omega's 500 series was one of the finest mass produced automatics from the era, the 565 was the top tier offering. Watches that feature these are excellent buys today because of their quality and relative ease and low cost for servicing.
It is fully Omega down to the original hands and winding crown and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. The case presents as mint with lights signs of having been polished, and the dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration a Master Watchmaker has overhauled the movement, which is near pristine. It winds very smoothly.
We have also equipped it with a new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
