It is full size for a vintage watch, measuring 35mm in diameter, in between the sizes of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust.
Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 565 movement used in Seamasters from the era, the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. With 24 jewels and a quick-setting date, it was the top tier offering of the famous 500 series and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from the era.
It has all of its original parts, even down to the signed Omega crystal! It has just finished a true expertly done restoration.
The case is gorgeous mint with strong lines. The original Omega dial has been carefully previously refinished. With the exception of the Geneve script, which was done in an earlier period font, the rest of the dial presents perfectly and could pass as Omega factory done.
A Master Watchmaker has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $595 value). It continues to run extremely strong and true, keeping time on par with a brand new Omega in our testing recording position.
For the finishing touch, a new calfskin leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
